Privacy Policy — ReelSaver HD

ReelSaver HD is built privacy-first. This policy explains exactly what it does.

1. Data we collect

None. The extension does not collect, store, sell, or transmit any personal information. No analytics, no trackers, no ads.

2. How it works

• It reads the URL of your active tab only when you open the popup, to detect whether an Instagram video is present.
• When you click Download, it asks Instagram (in your own logged-in session) for the video's direct file URL.
• The file is saved to your device by Chrome's built-in downloads API. Nothing is sent to any third-party server.

3. Permissions

• activeTab / scripting — read the video on the Instagram page you are viewing, on demand.
• downloads — save the video to your computer.
• Host access to instagram.com, cdninstagram.com, fbcdn.net — required to read and fetch the video file.

4. Remote code

The extension loads and executes no remotely-hosted code. All logic ships in the package.

5. Your responsibility

Only download content you own or have the rights to use. Respect Instagram's Terms of Service and applicable copyright law.
